Testing and certification

Leave nothing to chance.

Testing and certification

We offer you fully documented proof that your products meet the relevant quality requirements and that the required specifications have been achieved.

With our know-how, we also support you in determining the appropriate test parameters for your components and materials. Our certifications give you the assurance that your product is suitable for its use after the cleaning process.

routine:

  • Residual gas analysis (RGA) to qualify the organic cleanliness of component surfaces.
  • Particle measurements to determine the surface cleanliness class (ORK) and evaluation of the particulate cleanliness

on request:

  • Particle measurements on components by means of surface probe and optical particle counter
  • Particle measurements on components by means of liquid extraction and liquid particle counter
  • PMC tests (Particle Measurement Card) to determine component cleanliness with regard to particles
  • TOC measurement (Total Organic Carbon) for qualitative determination of the total amount of filmic/organic contaminants
  • XPS analyses for the qualitative and quantitative determination of foreign elements as well as the elemental surface composition
  • TENAX sampling and subsequent TD-GC-MS (Termal Desorption Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry) measurement for qualitative and quantitative determination of filmic/organic impurities, especially on small components and of pipelines

and other tests. Ask us.

RGA measurement

We verify the required cleaning result with our residual gas analysis systems. The outgassing behavior in vacuum is quantified and documented. By means of quantitative and qualitative residual gas analysis we offer qualified outgas measurements of your components. The measurements are carried out with a partial pressure of up to 2 - 10-14 mbar and mass numbers up to 300 amu. The highly sensitive measurement setups allow the detection of the smallest contaminations. This allows your products to meet the highest requirements for the purity of component surfaces. We also offer residual gas analysis as an on-site service.

Particle measurement

We identify the cleanroom suitability and the suitability of your materials and components for low-particle production. We classify your components into a particle-free class after cleaning. Our measurement methods:

  • Surface measurement on smooth or slightly curved surfaces
  • Flow measurement on tubular components
  • Blow-off measurement on complicated structures.

The measurements are based on ISO 14644 and VDI Guideline 2083. They are carried out at selected sample locations according to your specifications or according to VACOM standard on the surface or integrally on flow-through components. We use ultra-pure air or ultra-pure nitrogen as media for particle measurement. The measurement results are recorded and documented in a standardized protocol for the particle range 0.3 μm to 10 μm in six size classes. Your components only leave our premises within the limits of the required ORK. We will be happy to help you interpret the results and advise you on measures regarding particle contamination.
