Two certifications for commitment to the environment and future-oriented production
Environmental management at VACOM Vakuum Komponenten & Messtechnik GmbH in Großlöbichau has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001. The TÜV thus recognized the company's future orientation in the areas of sustainability, energy management, working environment, order and cleanliness as well as legal security and risk orientation.
VACOM is working on future-proof, environmentally compatible and cost-saving solutions to continually improve its environmental impact. For example, emissions, waste and wastewater are further reduced and costs are saved through the targeted use of resources.
In addition, VACOM received ISO 9001 re-certification at the beginning of July, allowing the certificate awarded in 2015 to continue. It stands for how standard processes are understood, developed, implemented and made as liveable as possible in the company.
Dr. Michael Flämmich, member of the Management Board and CTO - cleaning technology, thanked the employees involved in the preparatory work for the certifications.
Vacom's slogan is "We deliver the future!". Vacuum technology products are in demand throughout Europe and the world. Combined with industrial precision cleaning, Vacom supplies many high-tech industries with a smart factory based on Industry 4.0 criteria. The 30-year-old, family-run medium-sized company in Großlöbichau near Jena in eastern Thuringia now has around 400 employees.
