VACOM® Purity Classes

ZEISS, the world's leading technology company in the optical and optoelectronic industry, has been one of VACOM's satisfied customers since 2012. The product range includes components for use in high-tech machines. The business relationship is based in particular on know-how in industrial cleaning. Our in-house quality standards support the demands of Precision & Purity.

In the VACOM® Purity Classes, the surface cleanliness produced is classified in terms of particulate, filmic/organic and inorganic residual contamination. The particle cleanliness is evaluated as standard using the surface cleanliness class (ORK). Purity Class 5 designates the highest level of cleanliness that can currently be produced, which require maximum low particulate and hydrocarbon cleanliness. All components cleaned according to the Purity Classes are accordingly double or triple packed in the clean room. This makes them suitable for immediate use in cleanroom applications.
